The workshop focuses on providing non-licensed direct care staff with a clear overview of the Developmental Disabilities Medication administration policy #01-01. There will be group problem solving using actual case scenarios. This workshop is not for medication administration certification.

The Family Care Council is an independent and nonpartisan body. The primary function of FCC is to:

· Assist in providing information and outreach to families.

· Review the effectiveness of DD programs and make recommendations with respect to program implementation.

· Advise district DD administrators with respect to the community and family support system in the district.

· Meet and share information with other district family care councils.

Public discussion is always encouraged and welcomed from waiver support coordinators, providers, family members and all consumers of developmental disabilities services.

Please mark your calendar for May 6 and 7, 2004. The Council on Quality and Leadership in Support for People with Disabilities will be providing two days of Personal Outcomes Technical Assistance training sessions for Waiver Support Coordinators, Providers, Self Advocates and Families. Participants will use the Personal Outcome Measures tool to identify desired outcomes, develop support plans and implementation plans based on individualized outcomes.
