Hi all,

Thought I'd update on my epadural's. I had the one done for my lower back

over a week ago and it took a bit for the pain to settle down. They gave me

something to relax me and he was going to give me something extra but I was

so tired from not sleeping that I went right out and didn't know a thing

till the procedure was done. I had to stay off my feet for four days as they

used steroids and if you don't it can cause worse damage. My doctor said

that it can take an additional week for the shot to fully take affect and it

does seem to be working. Now this next Friday the 16th we have scheduled

several at once in my cervical spine. As he said my neck is so much worse

than my lower back and the nerve pain is worse, he will do several

injections and hopefully that too will help for a while. My doctor told me

again to let him know when I want to go see a surgeon. I guess there is the

recommendation that I really need surgery with the damage there. But, for

now, I am going to hope the shots will take care of pain and inflammation.

One thing that did surprise me was the need to stay down four days with the

shots in the neck as well.

I want to say to all my family and friends in the group that I am thinking

of you and wishing you better health. This seems to be a particularly hard

year for so many and we, here at the group, think of you often. Please use

our support because we understand and wish to be here for you. And if you're

doing well please share that too because that is the happiest news we want

to hear.

Lots of love to all,
