I've discovered something in the last week. I had been having these problems for a month. I was taking a lot of ibuprofen for these symptoms. I didn't think much about it since I've taken ibuprofen quite a bit for a couple of years due to my lyme headache that never goes away. I didn't realize all the side effects that ibuprofen can cause until I looked it up on the internet. It can cause increased headaches and burning mouth along with many other terrible symptoms. I stopped taking ibuprofen a week ago and within a couple of days, my migraine decreased to my normal lyme headache and my burning mouth and lips went away. This was a great relief for me. I'm trying to stay off of all pain killer medication. I would like to find something natural that doesn't have many side effects. I haven't tried butterbur or feverfew. I use alka-seltzer to help with herxes, which has some aspirin in it. If anyone has ideas for natural pain killer which doesn't produce terrible side effects, I would be interested. There are times when I need to take the edge off of my normal lyme headache. Thanks. Beware if the sugar boost is sugar/ sucrose as this depletes Bvits. Sugar is not necessary for health. The iherb website www.iherb.com has various products that help migraine sufferers --some just give relief and others aim to cure. Butterbur and feverfew have been effective for people I know. best wishes Debra RE: Re: OT: Migraines (was) Burning Lips and Mouth i was thinking of having my daughter take the emergen-c along with the l-trypto. it has a great supply of b vites, vit c and has that little bit of sugar boost too. what do you think? janet
