Guest guest
Hey DonnaMarie, Actually, I was playing with vegetarianism long before I heard about WW. The problem I had was learning to stop eating meat without gaining weight. If you're really interested, just eat one or two days of no meat meals. Try tofu, tempah, peanut butter, nuts, eggs, or cheese as a protein source. It's really not hard if you are a lacto ovo vegetarian like I am (I eat dairy and eggs). Vegans, who don't, have to be a little more creative. Did you become a vegetarian to stick to WW, or were you already one? That's always fascinated me... even though I probably could never do it (my son's allergic to legumes)!! Guest guest
And DonnaMarie, don't forget the legumes and grains. They have lots of protein as well, and fiber!! And they are cheap and delicious. I can't believe how many legumes there are, you could probably have a different one each day of the year and never repeat. DH and I are piscovegetarian. We do eat fish sometimes at restaurants, but no meat in the house. My cooking excelled after I cut out the meat, had lots of learning to do since we started heavy on the cheese, not a good way to go ;-).
