Guest guest
Hi, I also have TMJ. It started about 3 months after the VV symptoms. The 75 mg of Amitryptiline helped the VV pain but did nothing for the TMJ. I also had Irritable Bowel and probably a touch of FM although I was never diagnosed with that. I just remember the horrible pains in the back of my legs and even at the tailbone. The Amitryptiline probably helped with that pain too because I haven't had it in a while. I also had bloody noses for about 2 years about 2-3 times a week. That started at the same time as the VV. I was referred to an ENT and I've been bloody nose free for almost 2 years now. Any suggestions for the TMJ? I never knew there was a connection with our symptoms. I have TMJ, FM, tailbone pain (lower back) and multra valve prolapse, plus yeast infections and bladder infections and high stress. Interesting how all this connects. Lainey >>
Guest guest
I feel that my VV started with my childbirth, which I'd call pretty traumatic (to the tissues down there, anyway). I also think hormones must play some kind of role. When my period starts I always have aching in my vulvar area, even before I've used any pads or tampons. I wish someone would do a study find out more about the links between VV and other disorders as well as with childbirth and what role hormones play. By the way, I've never had a yeast infection. Guest guest
The best treatment for TMJ is to put a moist heating pad against the jaw line while watching TV or reading. It works wonders when the pain gets intense. Lainey
