Guest guest
Personally, I would never cut carbs out of my diet. I may limit them but carbs are a necessary nutrient so we need them for health more than anything. I think I have read in this group that we need some carbs for these high intensity tae bo workouts. I honestly think that your problem is not necessarily the need to lose weight but the need to love yourself, specifically through improving your self body image. I think that it is important that we as women especially need to protect ourselves from the unrealistic expectation that in order to be beautiful we must be small. I think our bigger concern should be why do we comfort ourselves with food? What is that is missing from our lives that we are trying to compensate for by overeating and living a sedentary lifestyle. I encourage you to eat to be healthy and to do tae bo for the same reason. If your focus is more on weightloss than improving your life, I assure you that you will abandon any of your weightloss efforts if they do not produce results in a timely manner. I also believe that you expectations are unrealistic. To expect weightloss after 2 days of tae bo does not sound realistic. I would say give yourself 12 weeks of doing tae bo for at least 5 days per week AND eating in a weightloss friendly manner before looking for significant lasting results. Tae bo is not a lose weight quickly scheme. I lost 15 lbs but stopped losing because I overeat regularly. However, because I do tae bo consistently, I have not gained the 15 lbs back despite significant overeating. TAE BO WORKS! Just give it and yourself a chance. We don't tend to gain weight over night so we cannot expect to lose it over night, either. i wish you much success. Tirra Date: 2005/09/10 Sat PM 07:53:16 CDT To: tae-bo_on Subject: better today!
