Guest guest
Anyone else have the same double whammy of annoying conditions? I was recently diagnosed with bipolar 2. I've been taking lithium for two weeks, and while it's been great for my up/down/wheee!/crash!, I can't say it's done anything for my 4S. Even when I'm feeling pretty good (most of the time), I still tense up as soon as I see/hear a trigger. Does anyone else with bipolar notice their 4S tolerance goes up when they're in a particularly elevated (not just a little bit giddy) state? My last seroius high (before I was taking medication, so just my brain's natural workings) lasted about 10 days, and I was constantly out socialising, taking trains, and eating with people. I still *noticed* triggers, but I generally found it very easy to self talk and excuse the perpetrator, which is something I usually find near impossible. (It's usually " Why are they doing this TO ME?! " even if I'm 100% sure they don't mean it.) I tend to get high on life, and everything and everyone is beautiful and well-intentioned, even the gum snappers! So that was one of the upsides of my condition, even though an elevated period where my tolerance would increase to this extent was usually followed by an apocalyptic low. Any other experiences?
