Guest guest
Michele...a close female friend & my husband are both taking zoloft. One of the side effects is loss of libido & sexual functioning. Not that it would be a problem with any of us who can't tolerate intercourse anyway. Both my friend & husband have noticed they are more tired than usual & have an increase in apetite. Let me know how it works for you....it is a great drug for depression. My husband is using it to cope with the anxiety he suffers while trying to quit smoking. Good luck! Guest guest
Michele, I have been on Zoloft for 3 years for depression. In the first month or two, I was a little bit tired but not bad. Nothing like I am with nortypitiline! Other than that, I have had no sideeffects. The tiredness was gone very fast and there has been nothing else. It works really good for my depression. Good luck with it. Beckie
Guest guest
Hi I just started taking Zoloft and it made me so nauseous that I don't want to take it anymore. I only took 12 milligrams before I went to bed. I was nauseous for 24 hrs. I was wondering if any one had these side effects and if they did did they continue taking it and how did they ease the side effects. My doctor told me that only 10 to 15 percent of people who take it get nauseous. It was awful. Thanks to anyone who might have a suggestion. Guest guest
Michele, I have been in Zolfot for 3 or 4 years now. When I first started it, I had some minor nausea but that went away in about a month. If you want to take this drug, give the nausea a little time and it should disappear. Guest guest
Thanks Heidi, I can't stand that nauseous feeling so Ithink I will either try it agin on the weeked so I can eat all day as my sister said it should be taken with large meals or I will call the doctor and see if e will prescribe something else. I really wnated Xanax as you don't have to take it all the time and it works instantly with no side effects. Michele D
Guest guest
I took Zoloft for awhile when I was first diagnosed with clinical depression. It made me have a really dry mouth and caused terrible nightmares. Of all the antidepressants I've tried, it was the worst in terms of side effects. Don't give up if this one doesn't work for you. There are lots of other ones if this isn't the one for you. Warmly, Heidi
