Guest guest
I'm the same way with the fast movement. What is that? Even when my husband shivers it bothers me... I don't get that. Hi, I'm Me and I'm an Alcholohic (4s'er)....cue us....Hi, Me.)> lol. oh well. > Welcome to the club!! I would suggest looking through the archives (although I can't actually explain how to do that. Anyone else know how?) b/c ocd and trigger sights and depression are very popular sidekicks to 4s. I have trigger sights and also all my other senses too b/c I think I have 4s under the umbrella of Sensory Integration Disorder. But I know you can find extensive e-mails on these subjects in the archives. You are most definitely not alone in any of those things. >  > Tammy>  > > > > > From: Stroud <rebeccastroud@ rocketmail. com>> To: Soundsensitivity@ yahoogroups. com> Sent: Mon, February 1, 2010 12:31:58 AM> Subject: New to this> >  > > > > > Hi,> > > Just wanted to quickly introduce myself as I have only just found this group after stumbling upon it by accident. I have only just learnt of 4S, and cannot express what a relief it is to finally have a label for what I have and to know that I am not going mad and that it is an actual condition. I actually cried when I found this group! For as long as I can remember I have been plagued by what I know know to be trigger sounds and, as I am just realising, trigger sights. > > My main sound triggers are eating sounds (chewing, crunching, swallowing, slurping, swishing of liquid in mouth, clinking/scraping of cutlery on teeth), cleaning teeth, banging of cupboard doors, clanking of cutlery & crockery, clicking of heels, flip-flops, scuffing of shoes, keyboard and mouse tapping, finger tapping/clicking, hand clapping, whistling (this is a big one at the moment - I have just started at a new work place where a colleague whistles NON STOP and I feel like I am going absolutely insane). Plus quite a few more!> > I also think I have trigger sights (I didn't even realise trigger sights existed but it makes a lot of sense!) - amongst others, sights like people chewing gum, eating with their mouth open, and a big one, tapping, twtiching and fidgeting (my family is full of twitchers so it gets pretty hard). Are these fairly common 'trigger sights'?> > One question - was wondering if anyone knows of a correlation between 4S and OCD and/or depression (I have suffered from both in the past). Would be curious to know.> > > > > > > Yahoo!7: Catch-up on your favourite Channel 7 TV shows easily, legally, and for free at PLUS7.
