Differences in payors depending on state, location

End of this recent post says that Aetna "best payor" in California and BCBS (I take 3 flavors of BCBS in Western PA); aetna's my worst payor.

I did unofficial survey here about 6 weeks back; Medicare "worst payor" in NY, NJ, Ca, but a "reasonable" payor in my area.

Go figure.

And I still have 2,3 people on Aetna HMO, they pay all of $2.30/month....

Blue Cross Rejection letter

Do you thin it would be illegal for me to publish this rejection letter from BX. I had asked for an increase in my pay rate to the Medicare rate ( they are the highest payer in CA). It said stuff like how lucky I am to be able to have them provide me with patients, how fortunate I am to have available to me all these services, etc. Should I respond to them and if so how? Anyone get one of these letter and had a successful rebuttal? BX is my lowest payer, and the most hassle. Considering my practice is full, ie not taking new pts, may be I should drop them...but my BX pts are some of my favorite pts.
