Guest guest
Hi, .... I checked out your tattoo proposal and thought it was great, but Hep C is a lousy disease to have on top of PSC...so, do they make these tatoos in the " stick/on, wear them for a while " form? I hate to break your timeline bubble, though. I was dx'd in 1985 at age 39. Doc's said I might live 6 mos. After 6 mos. I heard " 2 to 5 yrs. " Then I just gave up on their stats. Actually, I made it 15 yrs b/f tx. And the living donor transplant (the type I had) was " just " being performed at my transplant center. I was the second living donor recipient at New England Med. It is amazing what progress medicine has made in the last 15 years...and you may be around when there is a cure for this illness. Anyhow....I'm doing great after tx. Even though I'm a feisty old granny by now, I plan to be kicking for quite a while. Why, this weekend, I pulled up to a stop light and some young'un had the rap music cranked up really high. I had my windows down---so did he....I blasted my " oldies station, " and when the light turned green, gunned my Mazda Navajo V6, and left the dude in the dust...just had to do it once, even though now I wish I didn't have the gas guzzler of an SUV...not good for the environment or my wallet and never has been a comfortable ride...and drag racing is not the best form of entertainment...but hey...I really hate that rap music.... I am sorry that you have this awful disease. I know that the dx is hard to take. You'll find this is a great group. And your website idea is neat...stats and everything. (stilll a '60's kid after all these years and a " peace sign " scar on her belly to prove it....sort of a tatoo kind of thing) dx 1985 tx 6-9-
