Guest guest
Hey guys, we all know we hate noises in general because they hurt. But lately, since my lifestyle has changed somewhat, I have noticed that I have a true (maybe even purely misophonic) fear of change in pitch/frequency. For instance, when I'm blow drying my hair (something I only recently began doing as a habit since I usually just towel it dry) I hate doing it. Not because the sound hurts but because I have this gut twisting fear when I change the setting from low heat to high heat. Once the change is made, it doesn't bother me or hurt. But it's that moment of change where it kicks the whine up a notch that literally terrifies me. I dread it! I cringe. It's awful. But the same noise after that initial change doesn't bother me. Other instances like in repetivive songs or noises on the subway, stuff like that, the noise before and after-no problem. But hearing it increase a pitch scares me half to death. I absolutely hate it. Others? Tammy
