There is no open skinSent from my iPhone I purchase quilters thread at the sewing shop. Cut it into 18†lengths and place 5 in a sterilizing bag and run it thru my autoclave. The quilters thread is a thick mercerized cotton and nylon thread about the same thickness as a 3-0 or 4-0 suture. Has worked great when I have used on infants born with skin tags as well as on older patients that have tags in bothersome areas. In my employed practice I use to use the silk from a suture kit to tie them off. Those pkg are about $3 each. So what else could be used? What about non flavored dental floss. Sounds like a good idea. Anyone ever try this?-- M.D.www.elainemd.comOffice: Go in the directions of your dreams and live the life you've imagined. This email transmission may contain protected and privileged, highly confidential medical, Personal and Health Information (PHI) and/or legal information.
