Guest guest
Hey, gang, my stomach is doing what it did (or should I say not doing) before when they put me in the hospital. Food sitting in it for hours and hours, not moving and causing me a lot of pain and discomfort. Today it was over 24 hrs before I could even think about putting food in my mouth, and that was half a scambled egg. Blech... Last week, I started tapering my Pred, 5 mgs one day, 2.5 the next and so on. Supposed to do this for 3 months. I am already feeling the effects, achy, rash is out, very tired. I can never drop below 5 mg, my body does not like it at all. Beginning to think my adrenal glands have atrophied and I will need to take it for the rest of my life. The goal is to just rely on Kineret eventually, but I am skepitcal. Now if I could just eat. I see my doc day after tomorrow. They have already scoped me,but am thinking they need to do a barium follow thru, see how quickly (or slowly) my stomach is emptying. Not even sure they can do anything for gastroparesis, need to look that up, I guess. All I know is I am too thin for this to continue. And, that 1/2 scrambled egg I ate a lil bit ago is not happy in my stomach... On the bright side, I have opened some windows in our house, it is only in the 60's here today, Saturday it was 103. Glad for the cooler weather. Take care everyone, Gail (KY)
