Guest guest
we would all need to know percentages to answer your question. Peace Sunny Imhof Lizardhead Natural Products Cream help hi everyone, I have a cream that I really love the smell of (no added scent) but there is a problem with the feel. WHen I put it on at first it feels nice and moisturizing, but as I rub it in it starts to feel watery. I hope this makes sense. I have the ingredients list and would love to be able to reformulate it to have the same smell but not the loss of slip. I am hoping someone can tell me why this may be happening and if there is a way to correct it.I don't have the percentages so we will have to guess. I am hoping to stay with " natural " products (I know, what is natural? but basically what the consumers consider natural) and yes, I will be using a synthetic preservative. here is the ingredient list (in common names not INCI): Water Shea Butter Cocoa Butter Mango Butter Vegetable Glycerin Emulsifying wax NF Palm Steric Acid Citric Acid Rose water Aloe Juice Witch Hazel Vitamin E Rosemary Oloresin Extract Ascorbic Acid Neem Black Willow Bark Methylparaben propylparaben SO if anyone can tell me how to improve on this, if there are ingredients I should get rid of, ingredients I should add, and possibly percentages, to get rid of the watery rub in feel, while maintaining the smell, I would appreciate it! As I asked before, is there anyone who can help me figure out what percantages and how to improve/prevent the watery rub in feel? Could it be too much water? Is there an ingredient that could help if added (or one that should be omitted)? I could really use the help. Thanks,
Guest guest
, If you could post the formula you are using it would be helpful...also, if you could be more specific as to the " feel " you are currently getting.....if its any help, I once a couple of years ago, used a formula I took from a book, one of my first lotions, and it felt dry but sort of watery, a little tacky, no glide, even though it was very rich and thick. I changed the formula several times before it was right...it just had too much stearic acid in it, but that was this particular instance.> > Antoniette > > > > > Thanks, but as I said I don't have the percentaages, as I am trying > to duplicate/improve on a cream.
