Guest guest
I have a patient with BCBS primary and mcare secondary. There is a $3000 ded and then BCBS pays 100%. She is saying medicare will not pay any of her BCBS deductible. Shouldnt medicare be picking up a portion of the primary insurance's deductible? Guest guest
Sometimes the pt is confused about Medicare response as a secondary. Often they don’t pay b/c the primary has met the allowable, but they still instruct the provider to w/o the balance. In this instance, when they see the EOB, they will treat her deductible as a period of being uninsured and step in with an actual payment, according to their own fee schedule and payment structure. on Transplant Financial Coordinator Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital Legacy Transplant Services 1040 NW 22nd Ave Ste 480 Portland OR 97210 direct main office toll-free fax lmorriso@... ü Please consider the environment - think before you print!
