Guest guest Posted December 8, 2011 Report Share Posted December 8, 2011 Gaith, Tricare would be billed for services that you would otherwise put to KAQ for a Medicare patient, if your facility bills out services to other non-Medicare payers. You are correct, they are a payer of last resort; however, this relates to having coverage primary to Tricare such as a commercial plan or Medicare. If Tricare is the sole payer, then they would be billed.
