Guest guest
I purchased a recumbent bike last night. We had tested out a few at several stores and were not that impressed with the quality or function of the more expensive machines compared to the cheap ones. I was considering getting a Schwinn, but no one had one to show me and I really didn't want to pay $700 for something that I couldn't try out first. Last night I was at Big K-Mart and there was a recumbent for $109 made by Phoenix Health Systems called Lifestyler- 1. I figured I could take it home, try it out, and if I didn't like it, return it. It had a 3 mo warranty and I went ahead and extended it to 1 yr, 3 mo for an extra $17.00. Generally, I don't like those extended plans, but think they are a good idea for cheap exercise equipment. I was impressed with this machine for only $109. It feels sturdy and runs really smooth with magnetic resistance which has 8 levels and level 4 starts to feel difficult for me and gets the heart rate up. This gives us another option for cardio and an option that is kind on the knees. And if it breaks, in the next 1 yr, 3 mo, I take it back to K-Mart and they give me a new one.
