Guest guest
Hi Deb, I have been busy with computer problems, surgery and visiting at the hospital. Not much time to post as once I get home it is time to kill the pain which means listening to biofeedback tape and taking pain meds. The combo of these usually puts me to sleep. Well, last night I was so tired I wanted to just go to sleep. Didn't work, the pain was so bad I ended up in tears and had to get up to take the meds, double dose. Finally, at 3:30 am, I fell asleep and got 3 hours before I awakened in pain again. I fear the block I got Tuesday has irritated this nerve and caused a major exacerbation! Tuesday night the bottom of my foot was red and hot and the rest of my foot was blotchy and prickly. I do not think these local blocks of 10cc of marcaine are the thing for me. Barbara, glad to hear you are sounding like you are dealing with all this better these days! I wish I could just get in my car and drive down for a quick visit, sure would be nice! Tell you what, when I win my court case and get that big fat check, I'll take you to Disney World with us! How's that sound? Wouldn't it be fun to go with someone who has to stop and rest and not be hurried to do everything in one day? I have gone to Kings Dominion with my family and can't even keep up with my 80 year old grandmother! Well, when it get down to it, I just sit in the park and wait for the pills to kick in, then I rejoin them at some point. Anyway, I haven't gone with them in about 5 years because of the difficulties involved. I have taken my son and a friend and their son. We let our kids go ride what they want and meet every 2 hours to check in. It is much more fun that way and we can watch them ride the rides too. PJ, this bone softening that is being discussed, is this osteoporosis or maybe synovitis? My doc says I have both in the ankle and they are scheduling an MRI of the knee to check there too. He has explained synovitis but I just don't fully understand what he is saying it is. I told him it feels like my bones are rubbing against each other and he said he doesn't doubt that they are but didn't mention any treatment options for this. The bones on X-ray look dark at the lateral side and I just wonder what this means for the future. , impinged means essentiallly " pinched " . I have the same problem with the peroneal nerve in my right leg that runs from the knee to the ankle. Feels like it does when you hit your " funny bone " in your elbow every time I take a step. Lovely! They treat this condition by transpositioning the nerve which is done by a plastic surgeon who specialized in microsurgery. There is hope and if you find the best doc in your area you have a good chance of relief from this impingement. Tomorrow is my birthday! Yes, I will be celebrating! My Mom is a baker and is going to make me a spice cake with cream cheese icing.......mmmmmmmm......... my favorite! I will be driving to NC tomorrow with a friend to pick up her 21 year old son who is severely depressed and in need of lots of TLC. This is a young man who is like a son to me as I was their live in Nanny for 5 years. This friend was with me when my son was born as my now ex was out to sea. We have remained friends through many difficult times in our lives and I would do anything for her. She has been there for me through all of this RSD stuff and I would be totally lost without her support and friendship. She gave up her day off this past Monday to take me to the hospital and sit with me after surgery, she is a very wonderful and special person! Thank you for the birthday wishes! They will all come true! Everyone take care, Debbie/DJ ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Juno now offers FREE Internet Access!
