Guest guest
I had one patient record an interview. He is blind and all of our materials needed to be read to him. Since he couldn’t go back and read anything over again, he wanted to record the interview so he could reference what was given to him. Guest guest
You may want to check to see if your facility has a policy that forbids the use of “hidden devices” to record patient information. This would be considered a HIPAA violation since patient medical and financial information is being discussed and can be used for those not present for the interview to hear. Not sure if a consent would have to be signed by the patient or administrative approval would need to be given. I would be very uncomfortable with this especially if you were unaware, if there were good intentions why not ask for permission from the start.
