Guest guest
I found something that helps a lot. I don't like to wear earplugs all the time because I am too loud for myself inside (eating too loud, footsteps too jarring, etc.), and it makes us more sensitive. And when I do have earplugs with me in case I need them, I can't get them in fast enough. My Bose headphones are too expensive to wear for gardening and tree pruning and too conspicuous to wear out into the world. I bought these for about $8 at the hardware store (the Ear Band). I wear them around my neck and they have tension to get them in and keep them in without me having to roll, shape and shove (with dirty hands). I am calmer knowing I am protected and I can use them as needed. It has reduced my fear of triggers because I can manage them immediately. Not perfect but better .. . . www.safetyworks.com/catalog/catalog1093.html
