Wow, meditation helps a LOT

Today is an epic win for me. During a three-hour class on Buddhism, I had to

choose between finding a coping strategy and chewing my arm off, so I got into

the spirit and tried meditating right there in class. Everyone who's ever

meditate knows what it's like to enter that state where your brain is relaxed

and you're not really thinking anything: I managed to get there by focusing on a

table leg, go figure. And apparently when I'm in that state, THE TRIGGER SOUNDS

CAN'T TOUCH ME! Apparently with a little practice, you can learn to slip into an

altered state of consciousness where triggers don't matter as much.

Maybe this will help other people who are suffering during classes and lectures.

Has anyone else tried?
