I imagine your center is using the Valcyte for CMV? That is what you need to check for on the Healthwell site. I checked a couple weeks ago and the program was still open for CMV. I was told by a rep at the Genentech assistance program last week that if a patient qualifies for Healthwell, then they would not qualify for Genetech assistance.

Healthwell will only cover up to $2000 per year, so that is only a drop in the bucket towards what our part D population are facing for Valcyte expense.

Does this sound right? Have others experienced this? I am meeting with our Genentech rep this week, so I hope to get further clarification on this.
