Guest guest
I imagine your center is using the Valcyte for CMV? That is what you need to check for on the Healthwell site. I checked a couple weeks ago and the program was still open for CMV. Please feel free to let me know if you need any further assistance. Best of luck! J M. I requested assistance through Genentech and was denied because our patient has Medicare part D plan but the cost is $975.20 per month for the medication. Genentech told me to get a denial from Healthwell Foundation or Patient Access or Chronic Disease Funding. I checked all three websites and they only cover Kidney Transplant Immunotherapy (which Valcyte is not an Immuno).Any suggestions about what to do next? Thanks. Guest guest
I was told by a rep at the Genentech assistance program last week that if a patient qualifies for Healthwell, then they would not qualify for Genetech assistance. Healthwell will only cover up to $2000 per year, so that is only a drop in the bucket towards what our part D population are facing for Valcyte expense. Does this sound right? Have others experienced this? I am meeting with our Genentech rep this week, so I hope to get further clarification on this. Deidra M.
