Guest guest
It's odd, because on top of misophonia, I have OCD and some occasional anxiety.Thankfully, the anxiety isn't all the time, it only comes up when I am very stressed. I am observing that misophonia is affected by stress too. My triggers are stronger and more frustrating if I am stressed out. Same thing with OCD; compulsions are worse when I'm stressed. Of course it's a vicious circle, because stress can cause these disorders and disorders cause stress, but maybe the reason people confuse 4s with these things is because they are related in so many ways.I guess it's a no brainier its affected by stress, but I thought I'd say something. Clearly, many people are misdiagnosed. I also imagine there are many co-occuring conditions. I often thought my problem with eating noises had to do with eating disordered thinking (fear/disgust of/with food, etc.). Anybody here have a history of eating disorder(s)? I also considered it was strictly related to anxiety/OCD. I thought this because the frenzy of thoughts in my head give way to extreme irritation when extraneous stimuli enter in (someone recently posted interruption with other sounds was challenging). It's like my mind can only take so much, and it tips me over the edge. =
