I was in panic mode trying to mask loud trigger noises. Here’s what stopped them completely from reaching my ears.

I wear earplugs inside my noise-canceling earphones. The earplugs allow me to play brown noise quite loudly over the earphones without damaging my hearing. If my trigger noises leak through, I temporarily turn up the volume.

You can get this stuff today but it costs $300. These are both comfortable for all-day use:

Earplugs: Hearos Ultimate Softness Series from Walgreens (read package for insertion instructions)

Headphones: Bose QuietComfort 15 from Best Buy or other audio stores (always $300 no matter where you buy)

You can try several noise types to find out which one best masks the tape sound:

Once you choose the noise type, there are downloads on other websites if you don’t have Paypal.

I’ll start searching after lunch for quiet packing tape.

Oh my goodness everyday and on some days ALL DAY LONG - the office next to me is packaging things and ripping this tape off like it's going out of style. I want to go in there and punch everyone in their face. I turn my music up, I try ear plugs, and I can't NOT hear it. It's driving me crazy!!!!! I don't know what to do. I have gone out for walks in hopes that they'll be done but my goodness it's all day long every half an hour or so - sometimes less & sometimes more.ANY advice?? I don't want to go in there screaming that they stop - how weird would that look for me? But my ears can't take it anymore. I can feel my blood boiling each time they rip it off. Do they make packing tape that doesn't make that horrid sound?? I will buy it for them.

Whatever it takes, I know I have to deal with this but if I can cancel the sound

out, it will allow me to work & live normally. I really appreciate all of your
