Guest guest
I tried to e-mail Carol, no success. I do not know much about this. It came up an error because of it being in Canada? Well, I appreciated her story. I wrote to her about the fact that I had RA and had tried several medications. At present, I keep getting infections. I have been on Plaguenil, Azulfidine and unsuccessful. I had started on AP with the orthopedic M.D. however, changed to an additional doctor Rheumatologist and Ap she discouraged. I had been on Doxycycline for a short time 100 mg 2 x day. I am presently on presidone 10 mg a day; that is all. I am due back to the Dr. since I stopped taking plaguenil. I get repeated severe sore throats with congestion, wheezing. I have had asthmatic symptoms off and on since I was a teenager and the medications are getting my resistance down to very low. I am a children's therapist and of course I am around colds, etc. and I have had four episodes of upper respiratory infections, sore throats, bronchial asthma, etc since Dec. 4 1998. When I take AP (doxycycline) I noticed I had a tendency to swell ankles, etc.?? My left index finger has never been down to normal in size because of swelling/inflammation; it is twice as large as the other index finger .. Could this be putting me into infection all the time. I am currently on a Z-pak (Azithromycin) for infection of throat, etc. I feel like the best thing is for me to return to my orthopedic who wanted to try AP. My GP just thought it would be better to change to rheumatologist, but now I am not so sure after all. I am tired of getting over these repeated infections? Thanks for listening. Martha from St. Augustine, Fl. Someone mentioned before my changing to Mayo Clinic in ville(nearby)?
