Guest guest
For all new members: When a person first joins they receive several documents, including a letter welcoming you. In this letter you will find some valuable information. By reading it you are helping yourself AND us. For you, you get the info in a timely fashion. For us, we don't have to write the same basic information 30 times a week. Here's what the welcoming letter states: Take a look at our group homepage at: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Withdrawal_and_Recovery/ Once there, you can take a look in the FILES section (link is located in the left hand margin) and the LINKS section. [End letter quote] I know people are overwhelmed when they come here but it's worth printing out the documents we send you upon joining. You'll use the info in them repeatedly. As far as the files go, I know they are not in the best shape. It's a much more difficult project than I ever envisioned. There are so many choices to make about how to organize all the information. We are open to feedback from people on how you think the file system would be more user-friendly. It's been an ongoing thorn in my side because I'd like the files to be bursting with useful info organized in a way that makes sense. Heck, 25% of the time, I can't even find what I'm looking for! So, bring on those ideas. Those of you who belong to the Social list, please post your ideas there. This way maybe we can minimize how many irrelevant emails W & R list members get. For those who don't know about the Social list, it's an offshoot of this list where off-topic discussions can take place. On the Social list, anything goes except verbal assaults. Spirited discussions and debates are welcomed and encouraged. Sometimes this is a warm, fuzzy place to be while other times you'll know you're not in Kansas anymore (check out the current topic over there, lol). To join this group, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/socialWandR/ or send an email to: socialWandR-subscribe After you've joined, the address for sending messages is: socialWandR Only members of the Withdrawal_and_Recovery Group can join the Social group.
