Donor complications covered by Medicare

How long does a recipient need to keep Medicare in order for a living donor to be covered for complications down the road? If a recipient signs up for Medicare day of tx, then drops it in 3 months, does the donor still have complication

coverage, let’s say….1 year post donation?
