Medicare enrollment after transplant

Goodmorning,

I have a patient who was transplanted August 2011. Patient had Keystone Health

Plan East at time of transplant, NO MEDICARE. Patient has been laid off and is

now uninsured. Can patient apply for Medicare? I know part B will not pick up

immunos, but thinking part D will. Any suggestions? Thank you.
