Guest guest
Ok, I have to reply to this. Although our older son is doing fabulous on LDN, our younger 4 yr old son has had a reduced appetite the last few months. I did not think much of it until the other day when we weighed him and saw that he lost 2 lbs in the last 3 months. This might not be related to LDN at all, but after seeing two other reports like this, I'm wondering if all 3 of us might be seeing the same thing. He has always been steady at the 75% in weight and the last 3 mos he has dropped to 50%. Nothing to panic over, but I may try a month without LDN for him to see if his appetite or weight increases (he's only on one line now). Anyone else seeing this? L Re: LDN -- Does LDN cause reduction in appetite Yes it might well be LDN. My son's appetite disappeared on LDN - he just didn't seem to need food. My own appetite was also suppressed when I was applying it. We reduced doseage because he is thin enough already (19 kg and 7 years old) so we didn't want him to lose more weight. His school were very concerned when he lost 3 lbs and so we cut it right down. I think it could be marketed as a dietary aid for the overweight! but a worry for an already picky eater. HTH Steph UK My son is self limiting himself again. This time to an extreme. Can it be LDN or something else? Lidia
