Guest guest
Just a caution for using closed captioning on the t.v. I had to replace a large screen projection t.v. set this past week because of using closed captioning too frequently. After the picture tube burned out (non-fixable), I saw in the instruction manual that " repetitive computer style patterns should be limited " and " the extended use of fixed image program material can cause a permanent picture tube damage. This type of irreversible picture tube deterioration can be limited by performing the following steps: Limit the display of fixed image program material to no more than 15% of total viewing time per week. and Turn the power off when not in use. So someone who likes to watch t.v. and cant stand the sounds from it is just out of luck?
