Guest guest
No. The 90 days waiting period will not apply when the patient reinitiated hemodialysis. Medicare becomes effective the first of the month the patient reinitiated hemodialysis. Now after several more years they are both back on hemodialysis (not peritoneal) and both have Medicare again but Medicare does not seem to have imposed the 3 month waiting period before becoming effective this time for either one of them. If there was a previous kidney t/p that Medicare was part of do they not have a waiting period the second time around? I'd really appreciate your help since this will affect their COB period and when Medicare becomes primary. Thanks so much!
