Guest guest
Mark.. a quick question please. You were responding to Jen's statement that she felt the need to use supplements to get the B Vitamins. Is this what your new virtual clinic would recommend then I guess for a parent consulting you with this situation? You suggested this as your choice I believe.. " though I would go with spirulina for those B vitamins now. " so you obviously meant in lieu of other methods. I'm intrigued....How much would you recommend to get proper supplementation? Where do you get this in pure form?? Just trying to understand. Thanks , yes it would be the first thing I would go for, spirulina from either Earthrise or from Pure Planet. The ONLY difficulty is perhaps in the very beginning, getting the child used to it and to not give too much the first few days because then you can have a reaction. For an adult 9 grams would be a medicinal dose though you can go much higher. For a child one would work their way up to about five or six grams....and with some other basic things....see what happens. If a child has severe gut problems I would lead in with clay......and perhaps some other agents..........spirulina then will supply most of the Bs but then one will see what else one needs. Perhaps the B 12 shots......I would put up spirulina against any pharmaceutically produced B supplement anyday.....though...one can always add more B vitamins....so not completly in lieu..... Guest guest
Just in case anyone was curious here is the nutritional info for a cup of spirulina http://www.nutritiondata.com/facts-001-02s024t.html > > Mark.. a quick question please. Guest guest
Would there be any harm in adding spirulina into our children's daily treatment protocol alongside their current supplementation? Guest guest
Would there be any harm in adding spirulina into our children's daily treatment protocol alongside their current supplementation? Hi , No I would not see a problem as it is a food. But my suggestion would be to take it very slowly introducing it almost in homeopathic quantity and get your child used to it and then building from there. Spirulina is very green and very strong and very different so go slow. And like anything new introduced into a protocol watch for any reactions. Guest guest
For the andrenals you may want to ask your doctor about phosphorylated serine and/or pregnenalone. These both are pretty potent regulators of andrenal function. There could be some concern about pregnenalone's effects on testosterone it would depend on what your child's profile is whether or not this would be good addition. > > > > > > Mark.. a quick question please. Guest guest
I really want to add the B's in especially because his adrenals are not functioning well at all. If I add spirulina will the copper be too much, as well as the sulphur? I am supplementing with molybdenum and things to help his methylation.. he is a low methylator I suspect. He does not tolerate the B's very well, would spirulina be a better option in this case? If so how much should I start with? He is aprox 35 lbs. Stacey, because spirulina is a food, a pérfectly balanced one, I think its main tendency is to balance the body. But like all new agents you add to a protocol much care and attention needs to be present. For several reasons I recommend a very slow entry into spriulina, starting out with almost homeopathic doses the first day or two and then slowly building. Its very green to say the least so kids have to get used to it slowly. But once started you could build easily to five grams a day...... I just got confirmation from a spirulina company in the far east this morning who has donated 900 bottles for my studies. 300 bottles of púre spirulina, 300 bottles of spirulina with selenium, and 300 bottles of chlorella. This is a very strong sign for me and my work and what I hope to accomplish God willing. Mark
Guest guest
fwiw, There is some good evidence that these children peak with b vits. in about 5 hrs instead of 12 as the rest of us would. You might consider dividing your dose, and giving either 3 or 4 times a day in smaller amounts and do very well. > I really want to add the B's in especially because his adrenals are > not functioning well at all.
