** Exactly. I am most thankful and grateful for a very active email list.

> Why? Email is basically dead for anyone under 30. It's all Twitter, Face Book

and text for them. My younger friends barely write 3 sentences, let alone

discuss/debate a topic.

** In general, I don't think the younger generation of traditionally aged

college/university students know how to write (not counting the students who may

have dyslexia, etc.). Today's younger students are still subject to " No Child

Left Behind " etc. While I *refuse* to go into the politics of that on here, all

I know is that these high school graduates go onto into college ill-equipped for

the " real world " . I venture to guess a high percentage of these students think

computers have been around forever. That Mc's and Burger King have been

around forever. TV has been around forever. They think the food chain starts

in the grocery store (instead of in the ground). Incredible.

> For people with email over load, get a free gmail /Yahoo account and just use

that for you're list mail. I have 4 such addys. That way it doesn't pile up in

you private mail box. You can also kill topics you'd rather not see.

** I have gmail and Yahoo. Nice things about those is that I can let email pile

up if I want to do so. Then, send those to the Trash and delete permanently.

Kinda like burning trash out in a very rural area.

> I think all the posts have been on topic. I have yet to see one that made me

think, " Why did he post that. " There hasn't been any chatty off topic posts.

There is nothing worse then a group that has 3 posts a week, with one of those

being a link to an article.

** Oh I can think of worse :) There's nothing worse than a group that has no

posts over a six month period (which I have seen of some groups I subscribed to

earlier because the names of the groups sounded good).

> Why shut down the party when things are getting interesting and starting to

cook?

** Right On. Party On. April suggested I come dressed as a pirate...

arrrrrrrrrrrr.. walk the plank...for you will see the ways of the

sea......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr LOL.

** You can't stop the waves of the World Wide Web, but you can learn to go

" Surfin Safari " (the Beach Boys way of saying, " Dude, it's cool to go surf on

the internet, but if you get overwhelmed by a wave on the 'net and wipe out, try

again).
