Guest guest
I was put on prednisone week before last to treat EN that had continually worsened over about a month's time. I received almost instant relief from the prednisone, and I could finally walk pain free for the first time in weeks. I was on a titrated dose, and I did seem to notice some of the pain returning as I got to my last four doses (one pill per day compared to the initial dose of 4 pills). I tried to chalk it up to having just slept wrong, or whatever, because the pain was vague enough. Today is my first day without any prednisone at all, and I have to say I'm a bit nervous. I'm not happy at all with how my knees and wrists feel. :-( If prednisone gave you relief, was it only while you were on it? I really don't want to be on maintenance doses of prednisone, as I also have type 2 diabetes, and the prednisone wreaks havoc with my blood sugar levels. If it matters any, we believe the EN was brought on by mono, as I tested positive for mono a couple of weeks ago. Any experiences or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!
