Guest guest
Hi , Read ur posting on the long term damage done by the tethered cord...Where do i get more information on this... Its just that the neurosurgeon we went to yesterday looked at my MRI reports for 15 minutes, checked me thoroughly in 5 minutes and declared that i HAVE to have surgery and that we need to prepare, decide and get back to him... Now when i am home and my back pain is not so severe and my bladder does not leak...i kind of question if its necessary to have this surgery... One some days i am in so much pain but then again i have totally " normal days " as well... Is the TSC the only reason for the back pain/leaky bladder... I am feeling rather like Alice in Wonderland..If i said yes, the doctor could operate on me within 16 hours... Also, though this doctor comes highly recommeded for spinal surgeries, we are new to the city and are unable to locate any other doctors...Its like we have only one recommendation on hand, good though it is...There is a specialised spinal hospital, but without the name of a good doctor, one cud enter such a hospital and get lost in the tons of specialist who sit there without reaching out to the one who cud be right for u... ....And time ticks by...My father is keen that i " get it over with " .... but i am scared about rushing into it unless i am sure that this is the right thing to do.. Long mail but i wanted to get it off my chest... Love, Neeti -- On 28 Feb 2003 11:20:20 -000 tetheredspinalcord wrote: >Not Medical Advice. We Are Not Doctors. >Need help with the list?
