Guest guest
Hi again , Yeah, I'm real optimistic about how I,ve been feeling lately. It has been a long time since I've gone 10 days without having to take pain meds. I'm still in the c-collar(a minor inconvienence)and taking anti-inflam. meds, as well as my PT appts., But at least I've been able to resume a " normal " life over the past couple of weeks. I'ts been nice to get out enjoy X-mas shopping, parties etc. and not have my neck pain control my activities. I'm not out of the woods yet, I'll know more after my follow-up MRI/Dr. appt next week. According to my phy.therapist, she has seen people avoid surgery by " breaking the pain cycle " with complete rest (collar),traction, etc. Apparently, the discs can recede with this type of treatment. She did tell me that if I get out of this without surgery, not to get rid of the traction unit, collar, etc. that it would be helpful with flare-ups etc. I can live with that! Anything to control the pain and avoid surgery. Thanks again for your kind words and encouragement. I'll check-in later. .
