Guest guest
Welcome Joe!---From a WHOLE lot of people who have everything in common with you! What tests did you have? One of them was obviously the antibodies tests, but did you have the Free T3 (not total), Free T4 (not total), and the TSH. Please post them here, with the lab " normal " (that you will discover are not the same normal for every individual) reference ranges to compare. Many many people find that they don't feel well with their Free Ts in the low or midnormal reference range. Seems that a whole lot of people HERE feel much better in every way with them in the upper normal or even over the top of " normal " . ALWAYS get a hard copy of your tests. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? That's the riddle here. A whole lot of us strongly believe that the thyroid disease came first, in it's most subtle forms, before the other diseases. I personally believe that the thyroid disease, when it is prolonged and untreated, causes the other disease. Funny thing, where you see thyroid disease, you also see myriads of other autoimmune diseases. Guest guest
When they told you that you 'have thyroid'... what did they say? We're glad you stopped by, even if only to learn enough that you don't have to worry about thyroid issues.. that's what we're here for.. to help folks to understand... I mean, I don't seem to have any of hte things that the rest of you describe. But since I was told that I may have thyroid I thought that I would check it out. This is a wonderful group, that has a lot to share. I think that I'm going to stick around a bit more, and I'm also thinking of leaving, as I don't think this is for me. We'll see, maybe something else will come up. Thank you all for being so supportive and making me feel at home. Wonderful group of men and women!! Guest guest
Hi Topper, Thanks for the response. I am on synthroid 137 now. for 3 months. I have been on 150 and better for 5 years. I'll get my lab results in a day or two. In hind sight, those high doses they had me on was making me pretty goofy. I was waking in my sleep with thoughts of conspiracy and stuff. Now I understand why my neck is so thick. I'll continue combing the group site for info. Guest guest
Ask questions, it's the best way to learn for you and all the rest of us... it's amazing what we're pulling together from people sharing their experiences... Looking forward to seeing the labs.... Topper () On Tue, 06 Jan 2004 16:06:57 -0000 " pyleinexile " writes: > Hi Topper, > Thanks for the response. > I am on synthroid 137 now. for 3 months.
