Tee tree is another one with a short shelf life, like about a year.

And the older oils get, and the more oxidized, the more likely they are to cause

sensitization.

A mentor of mine sent me some 20+ year old Patchouli to smell and share with

others.  He made us all promise that we would never use it on anything that

would go on the skin.

, the shelf life really can vary depending on how the oils are

stored... you are assuming oxidation (which will, in fact, shorten the

shelf life)... but if stored under nitrogen, there's no way that

oxygenation can occur.
