Hi -

Are you referring to something you saw in another product? because all

water is ionic in some way. They may be referring to mineral water or

mineral infused water ?

Mark, actually, believe it or not, I have seen advertisements

for 'ionic water'. Their claim is that it is healthier than 'regular

water'. Of course it is a scam. I can't remember where I saw it

though.

Thanks for replying Mark. Yes I saw it on a label and wondered what

it was and why it was listed that way, and what benefits there were

to just " water " . Any ideas?

I know of a cosmetic company who uses " deep sea water " as a primary

ingredient that supposedly is only found in 3 areas of the world and

some guy from Japan discovered it and makes skin care products out of

it. Who knows. Basically their active claim is the unique mineral

content of the water and because it doesn't swirl around at the bottom

of the ocean or something like that.

I also know of some oral supplements which when added to water

alkalizes it for people who are on a high PH diet.

Ions are positively or negatively charged particles. How they bond

with or repel each other is an ionic reaction. Distilled water is what

can be called " deionized " .

So it could be tap water they are using and putting a fancy name on it

;) Or it could be water with dead sea salt added. Or they may have

come up with some spectacular chemical bonding that's a secret. Which

I doubt because they would have come up with a better name ;)
