3. Northern California, please!PramilaTo: borreliamultipleinfectionsandautism Sent: Tuesday, June 30, 2009 2:43:32 PMSubject: a few updates from the conference

This conference was a WILD ride for me. It had so many details I had to juggle. I think it is a miracle that everything went off without a hitch. I hope to have some photos to share very soon with the group. We had a volunteer photographer there and I think he really enjoyed taking the photos. (especially of the beautiful blonde wife of Bronson - former AZ Cardinals player who came to the poker tourney) I will have lots of stories that I will share coming soon, but there are a few things that I want the group to know.

1. Austin Air was a sponsor. They donated several air purifiers to make our meeting room fresh and clean for our MCS folks. (like me!) The great part was that we figured out how to help each other. We are doing an Austin Air fundraiser. Here is how it works.

All Austin Air products are 25% off when ordered through the LIA Foundation.

This cannot be advertised.. .ONLY to our group.

Profit proceeds go to the LIA Foundation

Here are the pricing: Healthmate Plus (regular price $550 - special price $412.50) - Healthmate Plus Jr. (regular price $350 - special price $262.50) Shipping is NOT included but runs roughly $40 per unit depending on where you live.

This was a conference special but if we keep it quiet we can continue to do this indefinitely.

If you want to purchase one, you need to e-mail me which type and I will send you an invoice

2. did a fabulous presentation on the dangers of GMO foods. He has called US to action. He called the LIA Foundation to issue a RESOLUTION demanding our doctors to prescribe a GMO free diet to all children with autism, lyme disease, etc. I am going to do this. I need one savvy volunteer to do some research for me and help write this out. In this I will call all other organizations to action to follow suit with us. This is VERY IMPORTANT and I am energized and excited to do this. The momentum was so awesome. When Jefffrey said he is calling us to action. I yelled out "We WILL DO IT" and the whole audience clapped! It was surreal.

3. I usually don't even THINK about next years conference for several weeks after. But I am so energized by the parents and doctors feedback that I am ready to begin the process. If anyone has any input on the state for us to hold it in, please let me know. Just know that I am NOT coming to the East coast because it is too difficult to plan a big conference that far away.

Our attendance came ranked from the following areas. 1. Arizona 2. California 3. Midwest 4. East Coast 5. Out of the country 6. NorthEast

Let me know your thoughts.

Tami

Taking on Monsanto has it's risks. What did you have in mind? We really need

numbers. We can put together some kind of report with the following:

coincidence of allergies to foods that are GMO's

parental reports that removal of GMO foods helps decrease

symptoms

actual research of the danger of GMO foods

increased sensitivities of those with autism, lyme, etc. to

things such as GMO's due to digestion, BBB, and liver

impairments

Many of us could work together in some fashion. We would probably need some

help also in contacting other agencies to see if they would want to be part of

this stand. We really need numbers. Monsanto is a scarey organization. There

are horror stories on this Internet about Monsanto. Many fear taking a stand

against them.

Concerning the air purifiers. I was wondering why the air felt so wonderful.

Normally, I get some kind of ill feeling around carpeting. But, at the

Conference, I felt so good, I didn't want to leave that room. Wow, Tami, you

thought of everything!

Love and prayers,

Heidi N

Here's a great website on more info on Monsanto and GMO foods....

http://www.organicconsumers.org/action.cfm

Can someone clarify this for me?

Non-GMO labeled food means not genetically modified.

Organic labeled food means no pesticides...does that also mean it is non-gmo or

should I be looking for a " non gmo " label alongside of " organic " ?

So we just need to do a one page position paper. Well, that's much less work

than I was thinking. I will try to get on it. Anyone else want to as well? We

can compare reports and consolidate, or whatever.

Yes...we'll do a one page position paper and then a press release announcing it. Anyone a great press release writer? I've been getting by for the last few years myself.

I have experience planning conferences and had always found the cheapest place

in the country to hold a national meeting is Las Vegas. Flights to Vegas are

always cheap. Also, during warm months, hotels are abundant and very cheap.

Also, there are now many places are that are not actually very Vegas, like Las

Vegas Lake.

I would love if the conference was in July when school was already finished in

the Northeast. I hated missing the conference. :o(

Those are good points. The only problem with Vegas is that none of us can handle being in those hotels due to the cigarette smoke. When does school finish in the Northeast?

Yes, I agree with this. I found this also in my past life of conference planning

that Vegas and Reno were always good places and full of perks.

I was in AZ the week before the conference and it was so PAINFUL to have to

leave and not be able to stay for the conference. I really hope to attend the

next one. I would also love to be able to help in any way possible. I used to

work autism biomed conferences in AZ not too long ago and enjoyed it very much.

I may not be able to post very often, but I read as often as possible and am so

grateful to you all, because without you I would probably still be in my bed

every day. My kids actually have more of a mother these days.

in the country to hold a national meeting is Las Vegas. Flights to Vegas are

always cheap. Also, during warm months, hotels are abundant and very cheap.

Also, there are now many places are that are not actually very Vegas, like Las

Vegas Lake.

The last weekend in June is graduation in the Northeast. My husband is a high

school principal, so it effects me more than others. But it is definitely

easier to travel when school is out.
