I have a question...many people have mentioned " yeast die-off " and symptoms

they get. For those who have experienced this yeast die-off, what symptoms do

you get? Does it make your VV better, worse, or about the same? For those

who first went on the anti-yeast diet (only veggies, meat, fish) did your VV

pain at first feel better, worse or about the same? Thanks for your help.

Can't remember a lot about it except that it is a natural form of sulphur

that is in our bodies. The theory is that our bodies are low in this and

that's why the yeast can overgrow. Do a web search on it in " Dogpile " .

There's a whole web site on it. My bottle says Methylsulfonymethane (whoa

what a mouthful) 750 mg. The back says that its a source of bioavailable

dietary sulphur that plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and

elasticity of connective and other tissues. I hope this helps.

I have been nomail for my dauthers wedding. Does MSM make IC worse? I

thought I was getting the flu and took some grape fruit seed extract. IC

and itching and burning. No sign of yeast. My tounge is also burning.

What did I miss and does anyone have any ideas on what I might do now? Has

anyone tired preperation H on the vulva?

To Kathy and those curious about die off from yeast:

This is Lainey. I had an ongoing bout of yeast infections for well over a year

before doing the yeast free diet and natural anti fungal supplements. I am now

only on the yeast free diet and tons of dolphis in tab forms. Some of those

prescription anti fungal are dangerous as they wear on your liver so make sure

a doctor is watching you. I myself got heart palpation's from Diflucan.

Doesn't mean everyone will!!!!!

SYMPTOMS OF DIE OFF:

You experience an extreme brain fog. You can feel as if you are hung over,

although you haven't had any liquor. You are very spacy, forgetful and it's

very hard to concentrate. That's the cognitive portion of it.

Next along with the brain fog is the aches and pain that feel like a terrible

flu. You get very bloated and have constant gas. You get crabby too. Remember

something is dying inside, yeast and it's powerful.

The VV and the IC get worse. It has to leak out so it usually leaks out by way

of the vaginal area. That's why many give up. This die off can last a month, a

few weeks or shorter or longer. It depends on how much yeast your body is

carrying. AND how quick you do it. I did it very slowly so my die off wasn't

such a sledge hammer.

I do remember once I stopped the natural anti fungal supplements I felt a bout

of energy. It seemed a layer was lifted. Then the anti yeast diet really

started to work. I have not had a yeast infection in over 10 yrs except when I

take an antib. All this really should be guided by a Preventive Medicine

doctor or under a doctor who is watching your blood levels etc. You can find a

list of doctors who support the yeast syndrome by purchasing or asking your

library to order " The Yeast Syndrome. " In the back of the book is a list of

doctors who are trained. That's how I found my doctor. It's something worth

looking into if you have yeast. I still have every symptom of VV and IC though

so it's no quick fix on that at all. Lainey

Michele,

I have had yeast, which was proven because I responded to antifungal

medication, but no yeast was cultured. My doctor says that yeast is very

difficult to culture and I have read this on many web sites as well. Just

because it won't culture doesn't mean that it isn't there. Mine has never

cultured, but my doctor could see it on my wet prep. I am now yeast free

after years of antifungals.

Re: Flare-up

Hi,

I don't want to disagree with you but the yeast, any kind will show up o

the culture. A culture is soething where it is allowed to grow for 3 or

4 days. It is NOT the one they do in the office where they put it under

the microscope right away and declare you don't have any yeast. The

reason I know this is I just went through this with my doctor. The one

that was done in the office showed no yeast but the culture was

positive for candisas albicans. I asked if the other lesser know yeasts

would show up in the culture and my doctor said they would show up.

Luckily I don't have them at this time. Another thing which I never

knew, using the Diflucan can cause burning and itching as the yeast die

off.

Just a thought.
