Guest guest
Barry, I tried Lyrica. My MD changed me to Lyrica after my compression fracture that really increased the neuropathy in my legs. I lasted about 8 weeks on it. The biggest side effects I had were weight gain (I had clothes I could wear when I started taking it that I couldn't wear 8 weeks later) and dependent edema (because of my paralysis, I already have problems with edema. On the Lyrica, the edema was so bad that after one day up, it would take 3 days + lying in bed for it to go down). I had the same problems as Patty with Neurontin. I couldn't stay awake to save my life. I didn't fall asleep driving, but that is only because I never made it out of bed. I would sleep about 20 hours a day.
