Guest guest
Some of you may already know that I am a USDA slaughter plant. Anyway what I was wondering is, what is the best tallow to use for soap? We do a lot of pigs, beef, sheep, goats, Llama some buffalo and domestic deer. We also do the EMU and ostrich, but we already refine those two. Is there enough market for the beef and pig rendered oils to make it worth my effort to render? Right now, we toss most of the fat except for the pig, we use that in sausage for the game hunters. If, I were to render the fats down, would they need to be separated? Meaning, pig from beef? Also, would one gallon jugs be the right size? Thanks for your help.
