rheumatic greeting

This is the first time that I have written. I am so glad that I have found

this help.

I have tried anti-inflam for Rheumatoid arthritis; because of asthma

tendencies, I can not take them. I am presently on Predisone 10 mg per day. I

have been on

Predisone for three mts. I have tried several medications, because of side

effects I

can not stay on them. I have just put down another one! Plaguenil. I

noticed a rash

and itching, but then later noticed a hearing loss which lasted only a few

seconds,

but scary. I really do not know what to take or do. I am currently going to

a rheuma

tologist, but she seems not to really know what to do with me! I am 50

years old,

married, grandmother, but am a professional children's therapist and desire

to keep

working and MOVING! Any adice, I would welcome it. I also tried

Azul..dine, cant

think of the spelling right now, did not work. Also Doxcycline too, noticed

no change. One of my big questions tonight is this: Have you heard of yeast

(candida

albecans being one of the causes of RA? Thanks for " listening " to me.

How long were you on doxycycline? What dose?

It is often a complicating factor. Dr. McPherson Brown, the

pioneer of antibiotic therapy for rheumatic disease, believed the disease

is triggered by mycoplasma and other infections. Yeast infections are

certainly often present and need treating along with the antibiotics

being used.

Chris.

Hi Sydney,

Welcome to the group. I see Dr. Cheney also, and have seen him a couple of

times while he was temporarily housed at your PCP's office. From that, I

suspect I am just up the road a ways from you - in Morehead City.

made it his temp. office before moving to Asheville. My PCP asked me to see

Cheney because he was at a loss as to what to do for me.I had been in the

hospital twice and each time coming out worse than I went in,with

respiatory problems.

Hi Donna,

Thank you for welcoming me to the group. I live In Wilmington. I was born and

raised here, one of the few left.I started seeing Cheney last summer. I see him

about every three or four months. I tested positive to HHV-6a. He has it under

control with Isoprionsine. At least it was the last time I was tested. I am due

to see him again in Oct. I don't know how much longer I can afford to keep

seeing him and continue on all the supplements and injections without some sort

of help. My income is limited.I am on hgh and if I can get my crp to a normal

level I might be able to start on bovine growth. I am fortunate that my PCP

believes in Cheney's work and will help me when he can. He is busy with other

patient's with other problems other then cfs an is not able to keep up with

Cheney's protocol.

It is good to meet you.
