Guest guest
Thanks for welcoming me to the group. I was taking Doxycycline 100 mg. B.I.D. But I did not take it for very long. About the time I got going on it, over a month. I was referred to a rheumatologist and she said not to stay on it, but get on other medications.... I am a little concerned about being on predisone even for this long of a time because of possible side effects: blood pressure heightening, cataracts, and etc. But it is just about all I have right now. I go back to the doctor in a couple of weeks. She will probably not be happy that I have decided against the Plaguenil. I belive it is an anti-malaria drug. Wow, I wonder what that does. Probably it is just another suppressing of the immune system. That really doesn't make sense in some ways, does it! I should try Doxycycline once again. I need to go back to the orthopedic physician who recommended it. I have had hygegen?spelling injecting into the knees for osteoarthritis, great. Good results; need to be repeating once every six or 9 mts. My finger joint (left index finger is the one with rheumatoid complications. And the other hand has some discomfort in the thumb area. But generally the predisone has helped with morning stiffness and mobility, even at 10 mg a day. Thanks for your input concerning candida albecans, something to look into the info about. Sorry I seem to be wordy! When I had RA factor blood work I was just over the borderline toward RA.. Does the degree that you have RA have anything to do with the blood work reading....is borderline you have it, but a little, or high reading, have it terribly worse??just asking, may be an ignorant questions, but.... thanks for reading this everyone..Martha gmsmith@... 00 is
