Hi all,

Have a new px seeking pregnancy... been trying 2.5 years and is now in

the NHS 'system'. She is already doing acupuncture and wants to see

what herbs can do for her too. Snag is that she still wants to continue

with the NHS stuff. At the moment she's been put on clomid as they

deduced that she had low progesterone and there was doubt whether she

was ovulating (50mg). She got pregnant the first month she took it and

then miscarried. No pregnancies since. She's just had another check up

and they've decided that she needs to up dose to 100mg due to ongoing

low progesterone levels.

I've talked to her about diet etc (we've just had one consult) and I'm

doing a hair min analysis with her and we'll have another long chat next

time. My snag is that I feel hamstrung with her treatment while she's

on clomid - can't treat hormonally. I want to tell her that I'd rather

she skipped the clomid as I can help with progesterone but can't

remember exactly what teh problem with clomid is (apart from being a

drug!). I have a notion it can raise copper levels (counterproductiev

to reproduction) but I can't remember where I got that notion from.

Anyone can tell me what it does and any reason why she shouldn't use it?

Or has anyone any exp of treating alongside clomid??

One other question - she has noticeable ridging / 'teeth marks' aroudn

the edge of her tongue and a quite noticeable groove down the middle.

What does this mean in chinese meds terms?

Thanks all!

Schia :)
