Hi gang

If anybody has done IV abx and has any leftover supplies it would help

me out a lot. I made the list below from reading the labels on

supplies that I'm currently using. I'm doing IV's twice a day, and I

still have 4 weeks to go.

1) 0.9% Sodium chloride 10 ml pre-filled syringes (BD?) (for flushing)

2) Non-vented IV set - 70 inches (178 cm) capacity 20.0 ml

(tubing that goes from IV bag to connect to PICC line)

(Codan US Corp 3511 West Sunflower Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92704-6944)

1-800-33-CODAN Catalog No. B 402 (37.7121)

3) Baxter Extension Set (2C6227) - 34 " (86 cm), Volume 3.9 mL - Male

Luer Lock adapter (Baxter Healthcare Corp, Deerfield, IL 60015

--This extension is really too long - I only need about 12-18 inches,

but when I was at the hospital getting the PICC line they only had 3 "

or 34 " , so I had to take the longer extension set so I could use both

hands to hook my IV's up myself.

Tegaderm (D-41453?) - 3M Healthcare, St , MN 1-

If anybody has any suggestions that's great too. Thanks!

Kendra

PS: I'm only flushing AFTER 90% of the time - per my doc's

suggestion. The PICC instructions say flush before and after. With

the super long extension I'm not sure the flushing is actually getting

where it needs to go.
