That's a fantastic opportunity. We'd all love to see research and more

publicity. However I do not think you will find anyone credible or reputable

who will agree that the cause of your daughter developing misophonia was the

unfortunate passing of her father (witnessed or not). I am sorry if this

information is something that upsets you, but the cause of misophonia is proving

more and more to be a neurological hard-wired issue and not a psychological one.

I definitely agree i believe it prob. Wasnt a result.....just unfortunate timing

and coincidence. The news just wants someone knowledgable on Misophonia to ask

questions about it since locally here no one knows about it.

Love the press. That is a most terrible coincidence in timing. I feel for your daughter. Hopefully they don't try to tie to together for sensationalism sake. If they use her name be prepared for criticism, people can be very judgmental. You may want to get in contact with Bernadette for support for both this story as well as for the fact that your daughters have a similar level of it. Sent from my iPhone

As far as I know, only Dr. .. and your best bet would probably be to e-mail her directly as there are so many e-mails from this group.

Have a PRIVATE talk with her ask her if she will be conforablee talking to the viewer of that reporter & if she would be tell ing the PUBLIC about if she is not sure ask her if she would want to talk to a PHD" to perpare her for this. I sit on a HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE & I speaking on my training in this field

I think I will try that. Today her Psychiatrist also said he cant talk about it

on camera because he does not know enough or understand enough. I told the news

person that should be a point we create in the story- There is NO dr that can

treat her or understand it around here (NY- Upstate area!) So we will see.

Kinds stinks as I am trying to get the word out so there can be funding for

research- but I am flying solo it appears!
