Duragesic Patch for EN Pain Relief

Good Morning all!

I am currenlty having the worst flare of EN I have ever had. High dose

prednisone is not touching it (I am on my second regimen now). The pain is so

intense that I can't think, function, sleep, etc. (I can't even breath on it!).

I was wondering if anyone in the group has ever used a Duragesic patch (i.e.

Fentanyl, Lidoderm, etc.) for pain relief and if so, did it work. I am willing

to try just about anything at this point.

I would be grateful for any feedback on pain relief. I have tried everything

that I know to do (and being an RN, I'm fresh out of ideas). Potassium Iodide

might be my next try if I can find a pharmacist to get it from, but for now, I

am just trying to find something (anything) to help relieve some of this

all-consuming pain!
